This may sound a little far-fetched, but we’ll say it anyway: garbage bags are the lifeline of modern society. How on earth do you intend to organize your garbage if not for these bags to keep tabs on it? • The common garbage bag is made from polyethylene, specifically low density polyethylene. Polyethylene was invented in 1942, and since then has gone on to become, with the sleight of the manufacturer’s hand, the garbage bag we use today.
• Polyethylene is stretchy, soft, and air- and water-proof. No wonder it made great garbage bags. A manufacturing process called extrusion is used to convert the pellets or beads (polyethylene’s raw form) into stretchable plastic bags.
• Is your garbage foul and smelly? Then it’s time to make the switch over to garbage bags. It’s going to cost you some, sure, but the benefits are well worth the amount spent. Most quality garbage bags don’t let air get in and out very easily, so fresh air stays out and bad odor stays in.

Garbage bags can be used both inside and outside. Use them in your kitchen to store old food, or in the bathroom to catch used tissues. Outside, you can use garbage bags to store fallen leaves, pulled roots, and dead flowers. No matter what your waste is, the trusty garbage bag can handle it.
