Microwave Repair and Cleaning: Microwaves Made Easy

Microwaves are as utilized as any kitchen appliance. This machine, a close cousin of the oven, is cheaper than most kitchen items, and perhaps even the rest of the appliances in the house. It’s a great package rolled into one compact unit. Don’t take your microwave for granted, and make sure it’s clean and in top condition at all times.

Cleaning a microwave is easy; but don’t go thinking it’s THAT easy; it takes practice and experience to clean a microwave in as little time as possible without risking damaging the machine.

First, open the microwave door and then peer inside to look for any removable parts. If you find any, remove them. Make sure the microwave is unplugged before you do any of this. Pour a small amount of liquid detergent into a bucket of clean water and mix thoroughly. Take note: you can substitute baking soda or a few drops of fresh lemon for the liquid detergent. Afterwards, dip a sponge into the solution and use it to wipe the microwave clean inside and out, making sure to get those hard-to-reach surfaces. Begin by wiping the inside, the compartment, and then slowly make your way outside. Rinse several times if necessary.

If you’re trying to fix a broken microwave, there isn’t much you can do but troubleshoot. Is the microwave plugged into a working socket? Does the wiring look okay, or are there any loose connections? Only a professional repairman can get a microwave back to working condition. Unless you’re a repairman yourself, don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and call one over. For more information regarding this article, read how to clean a microwave.
